Propaganda is used to promote or publicize a particular political point of view or cause. In the cold war it was used to promote both the views of America and the USSR in their countries. Negative and positive views of both countries were passed throughout the time period of the cold war.
Propaganda during the cold war was important because it caught the nations attention through submissive cartoons. These images changed how citizens of each nation saw each other and there perspectives on the war. Propaganda had many forms such as comic books, films, music, and radio. The meaning of these posters were conveyed by what the person was observing but were mainly influenced citizens to join the war, contribute to war bonds, etc.
